The observatory basement/fortification was really cool to see. I thought it was ironic how they built that huge bunker like building and then never used it. The fact that they converted it over to be useful to the university was also very cool about the history.
I also thought it was interesting that they chose to perform chemistry experiments in the area. What a weird place to put a fire pit...
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you posted. It was really interesting to me how they left the roof off in order to help air out the smoke from the canons.
