Brent Carlovsky Wed

I thought the museum boerhaave was very interesting because of all the old medical tools they had in the hard to breathe room. Seeing all the old tools that during the time were the best of the best was kind of frightening seeing how crude they really were. Being able to see the progression of the medical instruments throughout all the centuries was also very cool about the museum.

  1. The room seemed to have a fair amount of astronomical devices. As well as the surveying equipment, but the breastectomy tools were crude and I think caused all people to cringe when he told us what it was for. Also the clockwork is interesting.

  2. I found the tools interesting as well. However, I did not enjoy the bottled death in the next room. The whole museum had a lot to offer and had everything very well displayed.

  4. I also thought the early medical instruments were interesting. I thought the dentistry tools were cool, but at the same time a bit frightening.

  5. This is Marissa ->

    I thought that the medical tools were pretty creepy as well but I thought the cranial tools for adults vs. young children (that weird corkscrew thing vs. the pressurized ball thing).
