The tour of the observatory was somthing that i really enjoyed, especially the tour of the basement/cannon rooms. To be in somthing from the 15th century was very sureal and somthing that i would have never thought i would get the chance to be doing. When the guide was explaining the dynamics of how the room worked i was very interested. lastly, i would of loved to been able to throw a party down in that basement, although the stairs would be difficult when the party would end.

I agree that the basement was very cool. It had such diverse history and was so old. It was cool that they used it and saved it by building on/ slightly remolding it, instead of knocking it down. This seems to be something that the culture does here more than in the US.
ReplyDeleteI was really impressed by the basement as a whole, I really wish that they were able to test their method for clearing out the smoke in the room. It seemed like it would work, however I'm not completely sure that it would have and I would be really interested in knowing if it would.
ReplyDeleteI also would have liked to see if the way the room was set up, if it would have been able to actually remove the smoke. I don't think there would have been enough air flow for it to work.
